Dental Implants
Among our tooth restoration services in Boise, ID, are dental implants. These are ideal for you if you have gone through traumatic tooth loss or excessive decay. Implants not only blend with your natural smile, but they also provide many benefits for your oral health. This state-of-the-art restoration method is purposely designed to restore your ability to confidently smile and laugh again!
Your dental implant will be composed of three different parts:
- Post:Â This is placed into the socket of your missing tooth and bonds with your jaw
- Abutment:Â It connects, supports, and secures your new restoration
- Restoration:Â This could be a crown, bridge, or denture that is placed on top of the implant
Our Boise Dentistry team uses a CBCT scanner to perform the restoration. This allows them to identify the ideal placements for your implants and plan your procedure ahead of time. Once the implants are placed, it will take time for them to fuse with your jaw bone, so a temporary restoration is placed. After your healing period is up, the abutment will be inserted, and the new restoration will be placed on top.
Dental implants are generally intended to restore oral functionality and genuine smiles. They can be a permanent solution to tooth loss if cared for properly.
Dentures
They say nothing lasts forever, and, unfortunately, this can be true of our natural teeth. If you have lost several of your teeth, dentures can give your smile a second chance.
Dentures are natural-looking tooth replacements that fit comfortably over the gums in your mouth. Each denture is custom-made and provides you with a beautiful and functional smile.
What we offer:
- Full dentures:Â These dentures sit on top of the gums and replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth
- Partial dentures:Â Partials replace a few missing teeth and are anchored to existing teeth. They help keep other teeth from moving and prevent future dental problems
Both types of dentures are designed to be removable and are custom-made using digital impressions. But we do offer a permanent option.
Implant-retained dentures (partial or full): This type of denture is secured to dental implants that act like natural tooth roots.
Thanks to its multiple anchor points, implant-retained dentures provide more stability while eating and speaking. They also promote bone and gum preservation, as well as improved dental hygiene.
Crowns and Bridges
Crowns
When a tooth is severely decayed or damaged, a dental crown can protect it from further damage. The crown is placed on top of the damaged tooth to protect and restore its function and strength. With our use of modern technology, your crown will look and feel like your natural tooth while blending in seamlessly with your smile.
During the crown procedure:
- Dr. Minert and Dr. Taylor begins by removing any decay or damage
- He then shapes the tooth to enable the crown to fit
- Impressions of your damaged tooth and surrounding teeth are sent to the lab
- Your crown is constructed using exact specifications
- Your crown is placed and attached with a special adhesive
You can enjoy a fully functional and beautiful smile once again!
Bridges
Losing a tooth can be an extremely stressful situation and a potential risk for your whole-health if left untreated.
With a dental bridge, Dr. Minert and Dr. Taylor can restore your smile back to health in no time. A bridge consists of one artificial tooth bonded to and held into place by two crowns. These crowns are cemented to the teeth either side of your missing tooth. The crown then acts as an anchor to hold the replacement tooth in place and thus restore your smile.
Dental Fillings
Dental Fillings are used by your dentist in Boise, ID to restore teeth that have become damaged due to decay or trauma. Instead of using outdated metal fillings, Dr. Minert and Dr. Taylor uses composite tooth-colored fillings to restore your tooth in a discreet and natural-looking way.
Fillings seal a small hole in your tooth (i.e., a cavity) and prevent bacteria-induced infection from spreading any further.
During the procedure, your dentist removes all the decay and the affected area cleaned. Then, the tooth-colored resin is placed and shaped, thus filling the cavity. He’ll check to ensure it doesn’t inhibit your bite and then will polish the restoration.
Fillings are simple to place, durable, and long-lasting. This procedure is non-invasive, with outstanding aesthetic results.
” If more stars were possible, Dr. Minert would have them! Dr. Minert is one of the best dentists I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The care he shows for his patients is unmatched. It is nice to have a dentist that is invested in your dental health, and you are NOT just another patient. I recommend Dr. Minert to anyone without hesitation! “

Inlays & Onlays
The restorative processes of inlays and onlays are beneficial when your teeth have suffered extensive damage. While you are thinking of losing them sooner, you might want to opt for this procedure to ensure the survival of your teeth. Generally, these are done when your cavity is too large for a simple filling treatment.
Among the benefits of this restorative dentistry in Boise, ID are:
- Stain-resistant
- More resistance against damage or fractures
- Improves the aesthetic appearance of your teeth
- Lasts for many years if well cared for
- Customizable to fit the color, shape, and structure of your teeth
